Opened in April 2025 in this historic hot spring area, Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Sendai Sakunami is a rebranded former long-established ryokan. In a prime location where you can hear the murmuring Hirose River, it offers an extraordinary hot spring experience surrounded by seasonal natural beauty.
The natural rock bath facing the Hirose River features four tubs, creating an atmospheric setting that feels immersed in the surrounding nature. The indoor bath also has large windows, letting you fully take in the rich natural beauty of Sakunami Onsen. The five hot spring sources, which have continued flowing for over 220 years since the spring first opened, are mildly alkaline, gentle on the skin, and highly moisturizing.
Dinner is served buffet-style, with a lineup of Miyagi specialties including grilled beef tongue, fried oysters, oyster rice, and Sendai miso ramen. The breakfast buffet also features local favorites such as hatto soup and wheat gluten bound with egg, letting you fully enjoy the region’s cuisine.
