Opened in Shimokita Railroad Street, a 1.7 km former Odakyu Line rail site, reload is a unique collection of independent shops that co-creates new Shimokita culture with a colorful community of recognizable local faces, all centered around the concept of wandering and lingering in an alley-like setting.

Inside the stylish white-based complex are more than 20 distinctive tenants, including an experiential beans salon by a Kyoto coffee roaster, a specialty Japanese tea shop run by tea master brothers who have been in Shimokitazawa for 55 years, and a stationery store offering carefully selected items from Japan and abroad.

Another highlight is the glass-walled, open entrance area, which is also available as a POPUP space, so each visit offers a different atmosphere. There are benches and terraces on both the first and second floors, making it a perfect place to take a break while exploring.
