Hattori Ryokuchi Park
One of Osaka’s leading urban parks, with playground equipment, a museum, and a pool.
One of Osaka’s leading urban parks, this vast green space covers Approx. 126.3 hectares, about the size of 33 Koshien Stadiums. It has also been selected as one of Japan’s 100 Best Urban Parks and 100 Best Historical Parks.
Inside the park are features such as Flower Road, lined with a circular flower bed at its center and seasonal flowers, as well as green walking paths framed by beautiful rows of pine trees and lush greenery, creating soothing scenery just by taking a stroll. The park is also very popular with families thanks to plenty of kid-friendly facilities, including Kodomo no Rakuen, which has large playground equipment with a roller slide about 20 meters long, and Inariyama Children’s Playground (Gulliver Park), backed by a bamboo grove.
The grounds also include the Japan Open-Air Museum of Old Farmhouses, which displays traditional houses relocated from around Japan, an outdoor music hall where visitors can enjoy live performances in nature, and Waterland, open in summer, offering many different ways to enjoy the park.
Since 2023, the park has been undergoing redevelopment. Along with renovations in each area, new shops such as Starbucks Coffee, an Italian restaurant, and a convenience store have opened. A hot spring facility is also scheduled to open in spring 2026, making the park even more appealing.
