Koeido “Kibidango”

A classic Okayama souvenir with a satisfyingly chewy texture and simple sweetness.

Last update :
Supervised by :  Koeido Co., Ltd.

A signature confection from Koeido, one of Okayama’s leading traditional Japanese confectionery makers, founded in Ansei 3 (1856). Made from domestically grown glutinous rice with sugar, starch syrup, and millet using a traditional method, it is known for its soft texture and delicate sweetness. It has long been a popular Okayama souvenir associated with the legend of Momotaro.

In addition to the simple original flavor, there is a wide variety to choose from, including rich and sweet brown sugar kibidango; sea salt kibidango made with Umi no Sei natural sea salt from Izu Oshima; kinako roasted soybean flour kibidango with a toasty sweetness; white peach kibidango made with peaches grown in Okayama Prefecture; and matcha kibidango with an elegant balance of subtle bitterness and rich flavor.

The charming package illustrations by picture-book artist Taro Gomi are also popular. Each piece is individually wrapped for convenience. The product is also halal-certified, indicating that it contains no ingredients prohibited under Islamic law.
