The layered wooden architecture is super eye-catching. Lots of foreign tourists love taking photos with the building. And yes, you can actually go inside and enjoy the hot spring bath.

There were too many people in the bath. The tubs weren't cleaned in time, and there was a lot of hair and dirt. It felt pretty gross!

The hot spring was super relaxing, and there are lots of tourist spots and shops nearby. Definitely worth a visit.

Famous as the inspiration for the bathhouse in Studio Ghibli's films! There's a white heron statue on the roof, and legend has it that the hot spring was discovered by a heron. There are so many historical myths and stories tied to this place. Definitely a must-visit spot if you're traveling in Ehime.

Japan's oldest hot spring, and the main building is full of history. Even if there are long lines and it's super crowded, you absolutely have to try soaking here.

There's an old steam train parked in the small square in front of the station, and you can even soak your feet in a foot bath right outside.

I just took some photos in front of the main building and didn't go in for a bath. The area around the onsen is lively with shopping streets, making it a really popular spot.
