The hot spring water volume in Beppu is really impressive. You can see steam rising from hot springs all over the city.

I visited Beppu Onsen for a vacation many years ago and stayed at Suginoi Hotel. The open-air bath on the rooftop had an amazing atmosphere, plus you could see Beppu Bay. It was an unforgettable trip for me. I hope I can visit again once the pandemic is over.
