I visited right after it opened for the season. Along the way, there were lots of dead trees still covered with leftover snow. Everything felt so wild and untouched.

If you can, you really should spend a night in Kamikochi. Once the crowds leave in the evening, you can truly experience the peaceful and sacred beauty of the place.

When riding the bus there, the scenery on both sides is totally different, but both are gorgeous!

I've dreamed of coming here for so long. After a really long walk, the stunning scenery made everything worth it.

Most people start their walk in Kamikochi from Taisho Pond, then pass by Tashiro Pond and head to Kappa Bridge. If you have enough energy, you can keep going all the way to Myojin Bridge. It's a great route for exploring the area.

There aren't many restaurant options!
For a world-class tourist spot, they really should improve the facilities.

You really can't appreciate how picture-perfect the scenery is until you see it in person!

The Shirahone Onsen near Kamikochi is really nice. The hot spring water is milky white, and the scent actually lingers on your skin for a few days after!

The scenery is beautiful all year round, and you can even spot monkeys 🐒.

It's a peaceful escape from the noisy city. You can really enjoy the beautiful natural environment gifted by the gods.
