A peaceful streetscape with beautiful tree lines of Japanese Zelkova in which unique shopping malls are scattered. Many attractive events are held such as Asagaya Tanabata Festival (star festival).

As soon as you step out of JR Asagaya Station, you'll see Tanabata Festival decorations everywhere. Asagaya is now one of the top three Tanabata festival spots in Japan.

I once visited a friend here. There are lots of secondhand bookstores and antique shops around, giving the area a strong artsy vibe.
