Hamamatsu Festival Hall
A facility where you can experience the lively atmosphere of the Hamamatsu Festival. Held every year from May 3 to May 5, the Hamamatsu Festival is one of Japan’s leading festivals, drawing more than 1 million visitors. It features thrilling giant kite battles at Nakatajima Sand Dunes during the day and magnificent palace float parades through the city at night, along with a variety of events such as traditional performing arts, marching band parades, and the Miss Hamamatsu Festival contest.
Hamamatsu Festival Hall is a small but well-curated place that mainly introduces the history and culture of the Hamamatsu Festival. Inside, you can see the huge festival floats up close, and the decorations are really gorgeous. It feels pretty impressive the first time you see them.
