Awa Odori Dance Performance Experience
Awa Odori, one of Japan’s three major Bon dances, draws approximately 100,000 dancers and 1.2 million spectators over four days from August 12 to 15 each year. Its roots date back about 400 years, and the dance remains beloved by the people of Tokushima as it continues to evolve with the times. At Awa Odori Kaikan, visitors can experience Awa Odori year-round through exhibits and dance performances.
A must-see traditional cultural experience in Tokushima! You can not only watch the performances but also join in yourself. Super interesting.
