One of the most famous temples in Kyoto. Standing on the Kiyomizu Stage, you get a great view of the city. The stage is built with 139 solid wooden pillars and not a single nail—such impressive craftsmanship has been perfectly preserved.

A well-known hot spring area in Hokkaido. There are lots of fun spots nearby, like Mt. Usu, Showa Shinzan, and a bear ranch.

The whole shrine is built over the sea. When the tide is low, you can walk right up to the torii gate for photos. I saw lots of lucky coins stuffed at the base of the gate.

There were way too many tour groups. You have to line up and organize before entering. The front of Kinkaku-ji is packed with visitors, so it's really hard to take photos.
