Takamatsu Symbol Tower
Standing 151.3 meters tall, the tower of Takamatsu Symbol Tower is the tallest building in Shikoku. Located just a 5-minute walk from the Takamatsu Port ferry terminal and 3 minutes from JR Takamatsu Station, it is ideally situated as a gateway for exploring Kagawa.
The whole place is really clean and the view is pretty nice. At night, when the lights come on, it feels kind of ceremonial 👍
Hitsumabushi Hanaoka
This hugely popular restaurant in Sakae, Nagoya serves outstanding hitsumabushi, a Nagoya specialty made with high-quality eel. Its name is well known not only among locals but also among tourists, and long lines form in front of the restaurant even before it opens every day.
Their eel is crispy on the outside and tender inside, just the way I like it. The sauce isn't overly sweet, so it's really easy to eat.
The best part is you can enjoy it Nagoya-style with three different ways: plain, with green onions and wasabi, and finally with broth poured over. It never feels heavy.
The portion is just right—not too much, not too little. The place is clean and comfortable, too.
MIZKAN MUSEUM
An interactive museum where you can enjoy learning about the history of vinegar-making and brewing techniques of Mizkan, a long-established seasoning maker founded in 1804, as well as the appeal of Japanese food culture such as sushi and hot pot dishes.
It was really pretty interesting~ The whole place isn’t very big, but it’s fun to walk around, and the guide was really engaging. It gave me a much better idea of how miso is made.
The best part was the tasting at the end and the gift shop area. The miso soup smelled amazing and wasn’t overly salty, and there were lots of limited-edition flavors to buy.
The overall atmosphere was relaxed with a slightly nostalgic feel. If you like Japanese seasonings, you’ll probably really enjoy this place.
Hyper Museum Hanno
Opened in March 2025, Hyper Museum Hanno is a fresh and innovative museum located in Hanno, Saitama Prefecture, within the grounds of "Metsä," a complex housing both the Nordic lifestyle area "Metsä Village" and the Moomin-themed amusement park "Moominvalley Park."
It combines video games, manga, anime merch, and some exhibition areas. The whole vibe is super trendy and very ACG. Fans of anime, comics, and games will be excited—you can take photos, shop for merch, and enjoy interactive experiences.

Sakana to Mori no Kansatsuen
Located on the shores of Lake Chuzenji, the Sakana to Mori no Kansatsuen (Fish and Forest Observation Garden) is a public outreach facility operated by the Fisheries Research and Education Agency. Over 100 years ago, the site was used as a hatchery for the Imperial Household Agency, and today part of the research center is open to the public. Visitors can observe and even feed around ten species of salmon and trout-including the rare lake trout found only in Lake Chuzenji-as well as sturgeon.
This place is perfect for families! You can get up close to the fish, feed them, and even try fishing or catching them yourself. The forest setting is super relaxing, and both kids and adults will have a great time here!
Canal City Hakata
On the vast 43,500m² premises, a shopping mall, movie complex, theater, amusement park and two hotels cluster. Its symbol, a 180m-long canal, crosses along the center of the space lined with colorful buildings.
Canal City Hakata is such a great place to hang out! There’s everything inside—food, shopping, even movies! The design is really unique, and there’s a fountain show to watch, too. You could easily spend the whole day here and never get bored.
ChaCha World
A charming museum dedicated to warm and inviting wooden toys, housed in a building that resembles a whimsical castle. It displays an impressive collection of around 10,000 toys from approximately 40 countries worldwide.
The Wooden Toy Paradise is so much fun! There are tons of wooden toys you can touch and play with. It's perfect for kids to burn off energy, and adults can relive their childhood too!
Noboribetsu Jigokudani (Hell Valley)
One of Noboribetsu’s most popular tourist destinations, Jigokudani is the remains of a volcanic crater formed by the eruption of Mount Hiyoriyama. The valley, which spans about 450 meters in diameter and covers approximately 11 hectares, is still geothermally active. It serves as the main source for the renowned Noboribetsu Onsen, which boasts an impressive daily output of 10,000 tons of hot spring water.
The volcanic landscape and drifting sulfur steam really make it feel like a scene from hell. It's a stunning and mysterious display of nature's power.
Nomasaki Lighthouse
The oldest lighthouse in Aichi Prefecture, standing since 1921, has watched over the region. With its beautiful white exterior and nostalgic rounded design, it has become a beloved symbol of the town.
Nomasaki Lighthouse is small, but it has such a great vibe! The white tower with the ocean view is super romantic, especially at dusk. It's perfect for a date or just a relaxing walk.
