Sunshine Aquarium, located on the rooftop of the Sunshine City building in Ikebukuro, is a dreamlike example of an urban aquarium high above the city!

The most impressive attraction is the outdoor “Penguins in the Sky” exhibit, which has gone viral online. The transparent tank and open-air setting make it look as though the penguins are swimming through the skyline of Ikebukuro's skyscrapers. The visual effect is stunning! Inside, there are also gracefully swimming seals, a dreamy jellyfish tunnel, and a large open-air tank filled with tropical fish and rays.
