When I was studying in Japan, I always had two options to get home: the Narita Express or the Keisei Line. I usually chose Keisei to save on tickets. After the Narita Sky Access Line opened, the distance got shorter and the ride became much faster compared to the old Keisei Main Line. Now, whenever I head to Shinjuku, even though the Narita Express goes direct, it takes a much longer route. With the Skyliner, I can transfer at Ueno or Nippori and save 20–30 minutes. When returning home with lots of luggage, I usually consider the Narita Express or the Limousine Bus.
