Yanagawa is known as the “City of Water,” with its crisscrossing waterways and the historic atmosphere of an old castle town still preserved throughout the city. The one thing you shouldn’t miss here is a ride on a traditional riverboat. Sitting in a small boat, you slowly make your way through the waterways with the boatman while taking in the scenery along the banks and the historic streets. As the boat gently moves along, a light breeze blows across the water and through the trees. The entire ride is very leisurely and relaxing, allowing you to fully appreciate the unique natural charm of this historic town.

HUIS TEN BOSCH
This is the largest theme park in Japan, with beautiful European-like cityscapes and a canal that leads to the sea. The park is decorated with seasonal flowers and illuminations and has a wide range of the latest attractions. The park is also filled with excitement and a moving experience through a variety of events.
Visiting HUIS TEN BOSCH feels like stepping into a European fairy-tale world! The park features elegant European-style architecture, colorful gardens, and windmills turning in the breeze, creating a romantic and charming landscape. As you stroll through the streets, there are plenty of picturesque spots worth stopping at, and from the Ferris wheel, you can take in the beautiful view of the entire park.
After nightfall, the whole park takes on a completely different look. The castle is illuminated with dazzling lights and colorful light shows, and you can also take a boat ride along the canals while enjoying the enchanting night view of lights reflected on the water along both banks. It feels like being in a dreamland! The park has a different kind of charm during the day and at night.I mainly walked around the park and took photos, so I didn't go on many rides. I tried about four or five, going in whenever the wait wasn't too long. However, when it's crowded, popular attractions can sometimes have waits of one or two hours.
I recommend buying tickets online in advance to save time at the ticket counter. You can also choose the type of ticket that best fits your itinerary. My only slight regret was not arranging a stay at HUIS TEN BOSCH. The park is really suitable for spending an entire day, or even planning two or three days to fully enjoy it. If I have the chance to visit again, I'd like to book a hotel inside the park or stay nearby so I can take my time exploring and enjoying this European-style theme park! -

Oga Aquarium GAO has all kinds of marine life, including the huge and impressive Sea of Oga tank. Besides seeing a variety of fish, you can also see the aquarium's adorable polar bears and seals. The aquarium is also right next to the Sea of Japan, so you can enjoy sweeping ocean views during your visit. It's a great place to visit with friends or family.
