This was a military checkpoint in the Edo period. I don't know much about history, so there wasn't much for me to see.
But it's a nice place for a walk and to pass the time.
I'd recommend it more for people who are interested in Japanese history.

I heard this is a 'fake castle' built for tourists,
but since I was in Atami, I figured I might as well check it out.
Turns out it was actually pretty fun, especially if you have kids—they won't be disappointed!
The view over all of Atami is awesome too. Definitely recommend! -
