I went to Kyoto and saw Kiyomizu-dera Temple at night for the first time. They had special outdoor lighting set up to make the autumn leaves appear even more magical than usual. I went a little too early, but I think peak viewing season will be around the 19th. Why not head to Kyoto and let its magnificent autumn leaves captivate you?

- Take the Kyoto City Bus #100 headed for Kiyomizu-dera, Gion, Ginkakuji Temple and get off at the Gojo-zaka bus stop, from where it is a ten minute uphill walk to the temple.
