A Vast Park Famous as a Scenic Spot for Sakura
Koganei Park is a vast green park encompassing a surface area of about 80 hectares. With a variety of trees planted over the park’s extensive grounds, one part of the park serves as a sanctuary for wild birds, making it a paradise for these creatures.
Within the park grounds, about 1,700 cherry trees have been planted, making this a popular place for viewing Sakura in the spring.
You can barbecue in Yukari Square, and with a BBQ shop attached, you don’t even need to bring anything!
It also features a complete lineup of sports facilities, such as an archery field, a baseball field and a tennis court.
It’s famous for viewing cherry blossoms.
Rental bicycles are available in various sizes, so families can enjoy riding together.
In the middle of the park are shops selling sweets and light meals.
There is equipment available for barbecues.
