Koganei Park
A Vast Park Famous as a Scenic Spot for Sakura
Koganei Park is a vast green park encompassing a surface area of about 80 hectares. With a variety of trees planted over the park’s extensive grounds, one part of the park serves as a sanctuary for wild birds, making it a paradise for these creatures.
Within the park grounds, about 1,700 cherry trees have been planted, making this a popular place for viewing Sakura in the spring.
You can barbecue in Yukari Square, and with a BBQ shop attached, you don’t even need to bring anything!
It also features a complete lineup of sports facilities, such as an archery field, a baseball field and a tennis court.
