Inokashira Park
Enjoy Boating in a Large Pond at this Natural City Park
Park
Inokashira Park was first opened in 1917 as Japan’s first suburban park. The vast park is centered on Inokashira Pond and is surrounded by green trees. Around 200 Yoshino cherry trees bloom around the pond in the springtime, making the park into a popular cherry blossom viewing location. The site also includes the Inokashira Natural Culture Park, where you can enjoy both animals and plant life, as well as Inokashira Benzaiten, the Mitaka no Mori Ghibli Museum (reservation required), and a playground.
