Park

Two ponds, Sanpoji-ike and Shakujii-ike, are situated in the middle of this park. Within its undulating grounds, the natural environment of Musashino remains here.
Surrounded by trees, the still waters of Sanpoji-ike Pond contrast with lively boaters on Shakujii-ike Pond. Besides these ponds, there are several ruins connected to Shakujii Castle. Sanpoji-ike Waterside Botanical Complex is recognized as a Natural Monument by the Japanese government.
In spring, when about 300 Somei-Yoshino and Yamazakura cherry trees are in full bloom, many people come to visit this park.
