Koiyamagata Station

A photogenic station with a pink and heart theme.

Last update :

The station, which was built when Chizu Express first opened in 1994, was renovated in pink as part of the "Koi (love) Station Project" launched in 2013 by a group of railroad companies with only four stations in Japan that have the word "Koi" (love) in their name.

Everywhere is colored pink, from station buildings and fences to benches and trash cans, and the station name signs and boarding signs on the platforms are heart-shaped. When you write your wish on a heart-shaped ema (votive picture tablet) and hang it over the emakake, it is dedicated once a year to the Hakuto-jinja Shrine in Tottori City.

Outside the platform, there is a "Koi road" painted pink, a vending machine that sells Chizu Express original goods related to Koi Yamagata Station, a "Koi waiting room" with a heart-shaped table, and a pink mailbox "Koi post," making it a photo-worthy spot for all to see.
