Shiga Agricultural Park Blumen Hill

The theme of the park is dairy farming, and it is located in the eastern part of Shiga Prefecture, built in the image of a medieval German farming village.

Last update :

This is a hands-on agricultural park based on the theme of dairy farming that stretches across the Kitayama hills in Hino City, east of Lake Biwa. The park, named after the German word "Blumen" meaning "flower," is inspired by a medieval German farming village. The park is decorated with seasonal flowers such as tulips and sunflowers in summer and cosmos in autumn, making it perfect for a stroll.

There are many ways to enjoy the park, such as the "Petting Zoo," where you can interact with a variety of animals including kangaroos, capybaras, and alpacas, the "Speed Play Zone," where you can enjoy large baby carriages and grass slides, and the "Leisurely Play Zone," where you can enjoy mini-SLs and pedal boats.

There is also a menu of hands-on activities such as sweet potato harvesting (around the end of September), which can be enjoyed according to the season. The park also has a restaurant and homemade souvenirs that can only be purchased here, so you can fully enjoy yourself all day long.
