Yanagawa Tachibana-tei Ohana (Inn)

Stay in a historic, 400-year inn and former estate of a feudal lord.

Last update :

This former Tachibana feudal lord estate from the Edo Period is now an esteemed Japanese restaurant with an attached inn. It was recently renovated in 2017, updating 11 different rooms across the estate. Inside you’ll find chic but cozy spaces, offering views out into Shotoen, the garden registered as a National Sight of Scenic Beauty for its sprawling black the stretches and sweeps across the garden, or garden pond that’s designed after the ocean, dotted with little green and stony islands to represent the ocean.

There are even special plans to help you enjoy the boatride in a new way each season, like a ride under fireworks in summer, moonlit rides in fall, or a breakfast cruise in a small private boat down the river from the inn docks during the months between March to May and September to November.

Guests at the inn are welcome to visit the Tachibana Family Historical Documents Building, Shotoen Gardens, Seiyokan and other sites across the grounds for free. There are also free soft drinks available in the lounge.
