This theme park was created on the birthplace of Oshu-Fujiwara Clan’s first Lord, Kiyohira. On the 20 ha-(49 acres) premises, you can time-slip into the Heian Period and experience the era through sightseeing, eating and shopping to learn about Oshu-Fujiwara Clan’s history and culture.

In the vast park, there are over 120 pieces of architecture that reflect the Heian Period. Kyaranogosho, a residence of Oshu-Fujiwara Clan in Hiraizumi, is Japan’s only building in Japan that recreates the Shinden-zukuri style from the Heian Period. Seicho (the capital), Tsunekiyo Hall where warriors in Tohoku gathered, the castle fence in Yamato Imperial Era, Konjikido (Golden Hall), etc. are faithful replicas of the period.

You can try on the aristocrat costumes from the Heian Period, do archery, visit a trick art hall, or with a reservation, enjoy a special recreation of the meal which Lord Hidehira or Yoshitsune might have eaten.

Each season offers a variety of events, such as illumination of cherry blossoms / fall foliage or fantastic projection mapping. During the firefly watch in mid-June through early July, many visit to see native Genji fireflies and Heishi fireflies.
