Craft Hills Kasama is a complex facility on the premises of Kasama Art Forest Park including an experience workshop to make a hand made craft of Kasama-yaki, a gallery where works are displayed and sold, and a cafe serving sweets made with the local food.

In the facility, the Fureai- Kobo, making pottery such as a dish or a tableware is available, which is supported by an instructor. There are three courses; “Rokuro” is forming clay with a potter's wheel, “Tehineri” is forming clay by hands to make more heartwarming taste, and “Etsuke” is painting on a unglazed pottery, the each course takes you about 1 hour and 10 minutes to complete. Kids can easily try in the painting course.

In the Craft Art Space, ceramic works by about 250 potters are displayed and purchase is available. The pottery of Kasama-yaki is good for daily use and its taste is an attractive freestyle, colorful table wares and small articles will be an emphasis in interiors so that they are popular as a souvenir.

The Cafe Lounge located surrounded by nature serves a sweet using chestnuts of which Kasama is the largest production in Japan, and also hamburg serves with their pride using the local speciality, pork named “Bimei-ton”. Of course, platewares are from Kasama, you can take your time to enjoy both food and art.
