Nagasaki BIO PARK
Learn about the symbiosis between people and animals in an ecological exhibit that is close to the wild.
The zoo has introduced ecological exhibits that bring the animals closer to the wild environment in which they originally lived and allow visitors to observe them living freely and spontaneously. Visitors can learn about the symbiosis between people and animals by entering the environment where the animals live and sharing a part of their lives, rather than simply watching them from outside their cages as in a typical zoo.
The animals you can interact with range from popular animals such as lemurs, meerkats, and capybaras to larger animals such as tapirs. Visitors will enjoy feeding the flamingos, and the keeper will feed a whole watermelon to a hippopotamus during mealtime.
From April to October each year, crawfish fishing is available by the Andes Pond in the park. In addition, blueberry picking, potato digging, and other harvesting experiences await you each season. Let's share the unique experience of playing, learning, and interacting with each other, rather than just watching.
