It is a ski resort with convenient access, approximately 74 minutes from Tokyo Station via the Joetsu Shinkansen, and the slopes are directly connected to "GALA-Yuzawa Station". Furthermore, it is open until early May, and is popular for skiing and snowboarding until Golden Week.

The elevation of the slopes is 1,181 meters, and the longest run is 2,500 meters. There are a total of 16 courses of various gradual and steep terrain, which can be enjoyed by both beginners and advanced skiers. Another feature is the many activities that can be enjoyed on the slopes, including the "Snowmobile Sled Tour," in which large six-person sleds are pulled by snowmobiles, the "Outdoor Sauna," which can be enjoyed in a tent-type sauna, and the "Love Bell Observation Deck" and "Dream Bell Observation Deck" with their panoramic, breathtaking views.

After a full day of skiing and other activities, head to the hot springs located next to the resort. Take a relaxing soak in the fitness pool, open-air Jacuzzi, and children's pool at "SPA Gala no Yu".
