Eiraku Dam

This dam is rich in nature and has been selected as one of the "100 best places for greenery in Osaka" and "100 best places for water source forests". A circular path is maintained for 2 km around the dam, allowing visitors to enjoy hiking and walking while experiencing nature in each of the four seasons.

From late March to early April, approximately 1,000 cherry trees, including Someiyoshino and Yamazakura cherry trees, adorn the area around the dam, attracting many visitors who come to enjoy the magnificent scenery. The pretty spring colors that color the calm surface of the dam lake are a must-see beauty. In conjunction with the cherry blossom season, lanterns are hung in the Eiraku Dam plaza and some of the cherry trees are lit up. Visitors can also enjoy the elegant nighttime cherry blossoms, which are different from those in the daytime. During the cherry blossom festival, booths will be set up and the surrounding area will be filled with a festive atmosphere.

Since the entire area is located within the Okuyama Ameyama Nature Park, there are a number of open spaces and hiking trails. Many people visit this area even outside of the cherry blossom season, as it is a spot where one can feel the richness of nature.
