Tanesashi Coast is a beautiful coastline with diverse landscapes, located within the Sanriku Reconstruction National Park and designated as a national scenic spot. Visitors can enjoy a variety of flowers, natural grasslands, a coastline with strange rocks and boulders, a century-old pine forest, and charming black-tailed gulls.

The 12km-long coastline facing the Pacific Ocean is divided into four areas. The northernmost area, "Kabushima," was once an island but is now connected to the mainland. It's known as a breeding ground for black-tailed gulls, and from March to August, many gulls can be seen nurturing their young. Kabushima Shrine, dedicated to Benzaiten, a goddess of commerce and fishing, is located at the top of Kabushima.

Next, the "Ashigezaki Lookout & Osuga Coast" area features a lookout reminiscent of a Western castle and Osuga Coast, known for its singing sand. Further south is the area around the "Tanesashi Coast Natural Grassland," a popular tourist spot representing Tanesashi Coast. The southernmost "Okuki" area features attractions like "Hama Yado," reminiscent of fishermen's lives, and Itsukushima Shrine (Benten Island).

The one-coin bus "Umineko-go" also operates within the area, offering a quick and convenient way to tour the coast.
