Kankaku Museum

A “senses”-themed museum where you can enjoy art with all five senses.

Last update :
Supervised by :  Kankaku Museum

A hands-on museum showcasing works themed around “the senses.” With plenty of exhibits that stimulate sight, hearing, smell, and touch, visitors can enjoy the artworks through their own sensibilities.

The exhibits are divided into three zones: the Dialogue Zone, the Monologue Zone, and the Traverse Zone that connects the two spaces, each showcasing works aligned with its theme. The Dialogue Zone focuses on bodily senses, a space where you can experience a virtual dialogue between the creator and the viewer through the exhibits. The Monologue Zone centers on mental senses, a space where exhibits and staged environments spark visitors’ imagination and lead them into a meditative world.

In addition to the permanent exhibits, reservation-only workshops are held regularly. Workshops include making original candles and aroma soap. There is also a museum cafe inside offering curry, pasta, cake, and more.
