Michi-no-Eki Funaya no Sato Ine

This roadside station is located on a hill overlooking Ine Bay, which is known as a natural safe harbor. This place is also famous as a viewpoint where visitors can enjoy a full view of the “Funaya of Ine,” a tourist attraction featuring around 230 boathouses along the coast of the bay. The facility includes a restaurant and dining area serving dishes made with seafood caught at Ine Fishing Port, as well as souvenir shops selling local specialties and seafood products.

At the restaurant “Funaya,” you can enjoy set meals made with seasonal fish from Ine Bay, along with excellent views of the boathouses from inside the restaurant. At the dining spot “Aburaya,” you can enjoy seafood bowls while looking out over the boathouses from the counter kitchen. The souvenir shop offers local preserved foods and specialties, such as dried seasonal fish from Ine and fermented mackerel (saba no heshiko).

There is also an observation deck where visitors can see the scenic streets of Funaya and the calm sea. The parking lot is spacious and free, making it a convenient stop during a drive.
