Yoshino Coast
A popular snorkeling spot on Miyakojima.
Yoshino Coast is an east-facing beach near Higashi-Hennazaki Cape on Miyakojima and is overwhelmingly popular with snorkelers. It is also known as one of Miyakojima’s leading sea turtle nesting sites.
To reach the beach, you need to go down a steep slope, but there is a paid parking lot at the top of the hill, and the parking fee includes shuttle service to the beach.
As you enter the water from the white sandy beach that stretches for Approx. 500 m, coral reefs begin just a few meters from the shore. The water here is also among the clearest on Miyakojima, with a wide variety of tropical fish, and at high tide you can observe especially large numbers of tropical fish and coral.
The water is shallow and the waves are calm, so even beginners and families can enjoy snorkeling with peace of mind, but please take care not to damage the coral while snorkeling.
