Akai Ringo Main Store is run by Okinaya, a long-established Japanese confectionery shop founded in 1918. It is known for sweets with a strong local character, made using plenty of apples grown in Aomori. The shop continues traditional, time-intensive methods and pursues the natural deliciousness of its ingredients.

One item that has won many fans both in and outside Aomori Prefecture is the Heart Apple Pie. It is made by generously cutting Aomori-grown Jonathan apples and baking them raw on top of pie crust. Another specialty is the Japanese-style apple pie Tawawa, which is also known for having been presented to the Crown Prince. It features apple glacé made with Jonathan apples sandwiched in house-made pie crust. Every item lets you fully enjoy the flavor of the apples and other ingredients.

The first floor is a shop, while the second floor has an eat-in space. There, you can enjoy items such as Okinaya, Akai Ringo Blend Coffee, Japanese sweets, apple pie, and cake. Located Approx. 3 minutes by car from JR Aomori Station, it is easy to stop by before or after sightseeing.
