Kitagawa Shokudo is a seafood restaurant in Tanohata Village, Iwate Prefecture. It serves a wide variety of dishes made with seafood freshly landed from the Sanriku coast. Among its rice bowls, the standout is the Fresh Sea Urchin Rice Bowl, topped with fresh sea urchin from Tanohata. It is available only for a limited season, from early May to the end of August. You can choose the amount of sea urchin to suit your taste, from 90g to 120g, 150g, or 180g. There is also the Fresh Sea Urchin Jubako, lavishly topped with 270g of sea urchin. Other menu options include diner-style favorites such as a cut steak rice bowl made with Iwate's local specialty Tankaku beef, tempura rice bowls, and curry rice.
The restaurant has the welcoming atmosphere of a casual local diner. It offers Approx. 50 seats, including table seating and private rooms.
