A park spread across Mt. Utatsu, with sweeping views over central Kanazawa. It is also known as a famous flower-viewing spot, especially for the Japanese irises and hydrangeas that bloom from early June to mid-July.

The upper section is arranged as "Terraced-Field Japanese Irises," the middle section as "Stream and Japanese Irises," and the lower section as "Pond and Japanese Irises," where Approx. 20,000 Japanese iris plants of 58 varieties and 2,900 hydrangea bushes bloom in abundance. Elsewhere in the park, Approx. 250 cherry trees bloom from early to mid-April in the "400-Year Forest," while the "Flowering Tree Garden" features Approx. 8,000 azalea shrubs in 12 varieties from late April to early May.

Scenic viewpoints are scattered throughout the park. Enjoy grand panoramas with their own distinct character at "Miharashidai," overlooking Mt. Io, Mt. Tomuro, and the Kanazawa Plain; "Bokodai," with views of the city and the Sea of Japan; "Yokozoradai," where you can see the Tateyama Mountain Range and a beautiful sunrise; and "Chobo no Oka," looking out from Kanazawa Station toward the Kahokugata Lagoon area. After sunset, the park is also popular as a night-view spot.

There are also many stone monuments inscribed with waka poems and haiku, making it a pleasant place for a historical stroll.

The view of Kanazawa from here is fantastic. It’s really open and spacious.
It feels like more of a local spot, so it wasn’t crowded and had a very მშვიდ quiet atmosphere. It’s even more charming at night.
