Enjoy an authentic Shanghai dining experience that delights all five senses in an elegant Shanghai mansion-inspired setting.
Jogenro Yokohama Chinatown Main Restaurant is a long-established Shanghai cuisine restaurant founded in 1955. It serves traditional dishes unchanged since its founding, along with colorful creations that make the most of Japan’s seasonal ingredients. Frequently featured in the media, it is widely recognized well beyond the local area.
The menu offers a wide variety of seafood dishes, meat dishes, dim sum, noodle and rice dishes, desserts, and course meals. Among the most popular are the Premium Jogen Shark Fin Clay Pot Stew in White Broth, Shanghai-style Traditional Braised Pork Belly, Deep-fried Crab Claws Stuffed with Shrimp Paste, and Clay Pot Mapo Tofu. Popular noodle and rice dishes with many repeat customers include Crispy Rice with Seafood and Braised Soup Noodles with Shark Fin and Crab Meat.
The restaurant features an elegant space inspired by a Shanghai mansion from the French Concession era (1849–1943). Floors 1 through 3 include table seating, semi-private rooms, and banquet rooms. On the 5th floor, there are eight private rooms for groups of 2 to 22 people. It accommodates a wide range of occasions, from family meals and business entertainment to dates and parties. Dining in this recreated Shanghai mansion setting is part of the appeal.
