Located in Isawa Onsen in Yamanashi, the largest hot spring area in the prefecture, this inn is known for its large public bath with free-flowing water from its own abundant hot spring source and dishes made with local, seasonal ingredients.

Its alkaline simple hot spring water is known for its soft feel and is popular as a “beautifying bath” that leaves your skin smooth. The indoor baths and open-air baths are rotated between men and women, and guests can fully enjoy this famous hot spring in two open-air baths: “Hanahinoki,” soothing with the scent of cypress, and “Rikkasen,” a rustic rock bath.

For dinner, in addition to kaiseki cuisine, guests can also choose a teppanyaki restaurant serving Yamanashi brand beef and wine, or a kappo-style dining venue where chefs prepare and serve fresh seafood right in front of you. There are 116 guest rooms in total. Options range from standard Japanese-style rooms to the popular “Shokakuden” rooms with open-air baths and the special “Nagomi” suites with an open-air bath and sauna.

A taiko drum show performed by the inn’s staff is held every day on the stage in the lobby. The inn also offers a full range of services, including an esthetic salon, Eastern-style bodywork, and massages.
