Koraku Onyado Fujiginkei
A scenic inn at the foot of Mt. Fuji with sweeping views of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi from every room.
This hot spring ryokan stands on the shores of Lake Kawaguchi, with views of Mt. Fuji from the guest rooms, open-air baths, and restaurant. The rooms are designed to look out over Mt. Fuji across the lake, and when weather conditions are right, you can even see the "upside-down Mt. Fuji" reflected on the lake through the large windows. For a more refined stay, the Japanese-modern "Bettei Rin" is highly recommended.
At the top-floor panoramic open-air bath, you can take in Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi by day, and the lakeside lights and starry sky at night. There is also a spacious public bath surrounded by natural rock, where you can relax in the famous waters of Kawaguchi Lake Onsen beneath sacred Mt. Fuji. The simple hot spring water contains calcium and sodium, and is expected to help ease travel fatigue.
Meals feature kaiseki cuisine made with the best of the season. A wide selection of local sake and wine is also available to pair with your meal. In the morning, along with a gentle, nourishing breakfast, you can also enjoy Yamanashi's local specialty, hoto noodles. Both breakfast and dinner are served in the panoramic restaurant overlooking Mt. Fuji across Lake Kawaguchi.
