An urban botanical garden located within Nagai Park, one of Osaka’s leading comprehensive parks. Opened in 1974, this lush urban oasis spans Approx. 24.2 hectares, where visitors can enjoy seasonal plants throughout the year.

The garden features 11 specialized gardens, including a peony garden, rose garden, and peony garden. Approx. 1,200 plant species are cultivated here, so you can enjoy beautiful scenery whenever you visit. Another highlight is the History Forest, which recreates Osaka’s representative woodlands from different eras, from Approx. 66 million years ago to the present day. You can also see metasequoia, known as a living fossil, and semper sequoia, known as one of the tallest trees in the world. The Life Garden is also a must-see, where nemophila blooms across the entire area in spring, sunflowers in summer, and cosmos in autumn.

It’s also recommended to buy your favorite snacks from the café serving light meals or the kitchen trucks that appear daily, and enjoy a picnic. Be sure to also check out teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka, held at the garden at night.
