Iwamotoyama Park
A hilltop nature park where you can enjoy the stunning contrast of Mt. Fuji and seasonal flowers.
Iwamotoyama Park spreads across a hilltop with sweeping views of Mt. Fuji and Suruga Bay. It is known as a famous spot for plum and cherry blossoms, with 30 varieties and Approx. 300 plum trees in bloom each year from mid-February to early March, followed by Approx. 300 cherry trees from late March to early April. During flower season, the slopes turn colorful and fill with visitors enjoying the beautiful pairing of Mt. Fuji and seasonal blossoms.
The park has walking paths, two observation decks, and a projecting viewing deck, with expansive views over Suruga Bay and Fuji City. In the daytime, you can enjoy a close view of Mt. Fuji, while at night it is popular as a night-view spot with beautiful city lights. In addition to the observation decks, there is also a lawn area, an azumaya pavilion, and a café, making it easy to relax and enjoy nature at a leisurely pace while strolling.
The park is enjoyable not only in spring, but also with fresh greenery in early summer, autumn leaves in fall, and views of Mt. Fuji in the clear winter air, offering a different charm in every season. Although it is easy to access from the city center, the park maintains a peaceful natural setting, making it a special spot where you can enjoy spectacular views of Fuji and the colors of all four seasons at once.
