Tama Central Park

Tama Central Park is a vast urban park covering Approx. 110,000 square meters, conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Tama-Center Station.

The Great Lawn stretches around the large pond and is the signature spot of the park, where visitors can enjoy water and greenery. You may also see wild birds relaxing after coming up from the water, and the wooded area behind it creates a peaceful space to unwind. At the park’s entrance, Kirameki Plaza is also loved as a waterside area like the large pond, serving as a water play spot for children in summer and lighting up at night, making it suitable for many different uses.
Also in the park is the Former Tomizawa Family Residence, a relocated house believed to have been built from the mid- to late 18th century. It is preserved and open to the public as a cultural property, and part of the space is also available for rental use.

The park also features Asobi no Mori, a playground plaza, and a cafe, so you can enjoy greenery, waterscapes, plantings, wildlife, food, play, culture, and learning all in one place. Its location is another draw, with easy access to Tama City Central Library, Parthenon Tama, and the Green Live Center within the park.
