Zenigata Sunae "Kan'ei Tsuho" is a giant sand drawing created on the white sand of Ariake Beach in Kotohiki Park, a scenic spot in Kanonji City, Kagawa Prefecture. Modeled after an Edo-period coin, it measures Approx. 122 m east to west, Approx. 90 m north to south, and Approx. 345 m around, and is said to have been created overnight during the Edo period to welcome a feudal lord.

From the Zenigata Observatory at the summit of Mt. Kotohiki, you can view the sand drawing in its beautiful circular shape. From ground level, meanwhile, you can better appreciate its enormous scale, giving you a different way to enjoy it. It is said that those who see it will "enjoy good health, live a long life, and never have trouble with money," and it is popular as a lucky spot for financial fortune.

It is illuminated every day from sunset to 10pm. The spectacular daytime view is impressive, and the fantastical nighttime scenery is also well worth seeing. Entry into the sand drawing is normally prohibited, but if you take part in the "sunazarai" sand maintenance activity, you can go inside the sand drawing, which reaches a depth of Approx. 2 m. It is held every spring and fall with participants recruited mainly from local residents, so check it out if you're interested.

Kotohiki Park, part of Setonaikai National Park, offers sweeping views from the observatory, walks along Ariake Beach, and scenery of pine groves.

The park itself is very quiet, with lots of shade, so it’s really comfortable to walk around. It doesn’t feel too commercialized. I’ve heard that seeing this sand drawing brings good fortune and good health.
