Seitsujiyama Observatory

Located on a low mountain with an elevation of Approx. 120 m, this rare observatory is integrated with a wedding venue. A sweeping panorama unfolds here, with views of the dynamic Seto Ohashi Bridge stretching out to sea, the Shiwaku Islands made up of 28 large and small islands, and the townscape of Utazu. On clear days, you can even see the silhouettes of islands far in the distance.

The view from the summit has been recognized as a Lovers’ Sanctuary and is well known as a classic date spot. With a swing for couples installed there, the observatory is also full of romantic atmosphere.

The beautifully colored night view that can be enjoyed from before to after sunset is also breathtaking, and it has been selected as a “Japan Night View Heritage” site. You can take in the illuminated Seto Ohashi Bridge sparkling with lights and the glow shining across the sea, creating a deeply emotional atmosphere. If you visit, the best time is from around sunset to after sundown. The combination of the vast sky gradually darkening, the calm Seto Inland Sea reflecting the colors of the sky, and the Seto Ohashi Bridge beginning to sparkle more brightly as time passes is magnificent, letting you enjoy the beautiful scenery in a peaceful setting.
