One of Okayama Prefecture’s leading observation spots, this lookout overlooks the coastal industrial zone of “Mizushima Kombinat,” where more than 200 business sites and factories stand side by side. It is especially known as a place to enjoy factory night views and is ranked highly in night view rankings across Japan.

By day, you can enjoy open views of the calm Seto Inland Sea and the industrial zone, while at night, a romantic grand panorama unfolds as the lights of the kombinat sparkle. Located along the driving route Washuzan Park Line (formerly the Washuzan Skyline), it also offers wonderful scenery from the car window.

Covering 2,500 hectares, about the size of 500 Tokyo Domes, the entire Mizushima Kombinat is lined with plants that shine in every color as far as the eye can see. The view from evening to night is simply spectacular. The silhouettes of smokestacks lit by the surrounding lights and the white smoke rising from them create an extraordinary atmosphere, making it feel like you are watching a scene from a movie.
