At Tokyo's famous Tokyo Sea Life Park, I walked up to the enormous blue tank and was immediately amazed by the marine life swimming freely before me! Here, you can not only get a close look at the enormous, adorably goofy and soothing ocean sunfish, but also see rays gliding gracefully above schools of fish from the Kuroshio Current that resemble a sparkling galaxy. The sight is spectacular and full of ocean charm. The park features its iconic glass-domed architecture and a rich variety of marine ecosystem exhibits, making it perfect for spending half a day experiencing the mystery and tranquility of the ocean. It's definitely a place for photos and relaxation that shouldn't be missed on an independent trip to Tokyo!

Tokyo Sea Life Park is a great place for families with children, with many fascinating marine life exhibits. My favorite was the penguin area. Watching the penguins swim freely and dart quickly through the water was cute and soothing, and I couldn't stop watching them. Besides viewing marine life, the aquarium also has a touch pool where you can get up close and feel the marine animals, which is a very special experience.

It's just one subway stop from Disneyland, so if you have some time to kill, it's worth checking out. The tickets are cheap, and elementary school kids get in for free. Plus, the aquarium building itself has a really unique design.
