In Kobe's harbor area, besides enjoying the waterfront scenery, you can also stop by the Kobe Anpanman Children's Museum & Mall! This place is paradise for Anpanman fans. From the moment you enter, it's full of childlike fun, with familiar characters like Anpanman, Baikinman, and other adorable characters everywhere. Just looking at the decorations makes you want to take photos to remember your visit.

Inside, there are many play facilities and interactive areas for children, where they can get up close to their favorite cartoon characters and enjoy the cheerful atmosphere. Even adults who are just accompanying their children will be drawn in by the cute settings and feel as if they've suddenly returned to their childhood!

Besides the children's museum, the shopping mall next door is also well worth exploring. It has plenty of Anpanman-themed merchandise, from stuffed toys and stationery to all kinds of souvenirs. Anpanman, who almost every child in Japan knows! I've heard that in many Japanese families, Anpanman's words sometimes work even better than Mom and Dad's, haha. No wonder there are so many Anpanman museums, themed attractions, and special trains throughout Japan.

I also watched the Anpanman cartoon when I was little, and seeing the familiar characters again as an adult still brings a little sense of nostalgia. On this trip to Shikoku, I also planned to ride an Anpanman-themed train. Departing from Matsuyama Station, the train travels along the Yosan Line. Northbound trains go to Iyo-Saijo and Takamatsu, with some services continuing all the way to Okayama. Southbound trains head toward Iyo-Ozu, Yawatahama, and Uwajima. While enjoying the scenery of Shikoku along the way, adults can also relax and enjoy the fun of being surrounded by Anpanman.

On our second day in Kobe, our first stop was the long-awaited Kobe Anpanman Children’s Museum & Mall! As soon as we walked in, the place was filled with Anpanman and all the familiar characters. My little one was so excited, screaming with joy and smiling nonstop.

There were fun shows, interactive games, photo spots, and super cute limited-edition merchandise. Every corner made us want to take tons of pictures. It really felt like stepping into the world of the anime. It’s not just a paradise for kids—adults will find their inner child again, too.
