When visiting Fukuoka, how could you miss this huge shopping and entertainment complex that's so much fun to explore? Canal City Hakata brings together shopping, food, hotels, and entertainment facilities. The mall is enormous, and you can always discover something new as you walk around!

It's also very convenient to get here from the subway station. Whether you want to shop, look for good food, or simply take a stroll and enjoy the lively mall atmosphere, it's a great place to visit. There are also plenty of good restaurants nearby, so when you get tired from walking around, you can find a place to sit down and enjoy a nice meal.

Best of all, there are sometimes spectacular fountain shows with lights and music, adding a touch of romance and excitement to the shopping center!

If you enjoy shopping, food, and performances, it's definitely worth stopping by. You can easily spend half a day here without getting bored〜

Canal City Hakata is conveniently located in the city and is easy to reach by subway or bus. Its signature attraction is the spectacular fountain show that runs through the entire mall, with water dancing to music and adding a touch of romance to the shopping experience.

One place you definitely shouldn't miss is Donguri Republic, which Ghibli fans will go crazy for, filled with all kinds of cute, beautifully made merchandise. There are also many anime-themed stores and a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. Best of all, convenient tax-free shopping is available, so you can shop to your heart's content without worry. It's a classic shopping destination with plenty to eat, do, and buy.

Canal City Hakata is a great mixed-use shopping complex to explore. It has not only all kinds of stores but also plenty of food options, making it easy to spend an entire afternoon there. During my last visit, an in-person fan event for a girl group happened to be taking place by the fountain on the first floor. The girls sang and danced onstage with lots of energy, while the fans below enthusiastically cheered them on with glow sticks. I don't usually follow celebrities and had only been passing by, but I couldn't help stopping to watch for quite a while. Seeing how immersed the fans were also gave me a glimpse of an interesting side of Japanese fan culture.

Canal City Hakata is really great for exploring! It's huge inside and brings together shopping, dining, and entertainment, so you won't get bored even if you spend the whole day there.
My favorite part was the canal design in the center. There are also light and fountain shows at night, and the atmosphere is great.

Canal City Hakata is seriously fun to explore. It’s the kind of place where you plan to stay for an hour, then somehow end up spending half the day there.
Shopping, food, cafés, and hotels are all in one place, so when you get tired, you can just sit down and take a break somewhere. What surprised me most was the fountain show on the first floor. With the music, the atmosphere was awesome. Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s relaxing just to sit nearby and zone out while watching the fountains.
If you’re in Fukuoka and don’t know where to go, you really can’t go wrong here. Eat, shop, and take tons of photos all in one stop!

Canal City Hakata is such a great place to hang out! There’s everything inside—food, shopping, even movies! The design is really unique, and there’s a fountain show to watch, too. You could easily spend the whole day here and never get bored.
