My first time at Suginohara, and what impressed me most wasn't the slopes, but the view from the top. Lake Nojiri lies right below, with the mountains of northern Shinano stretching across the background. On a perfectly clear day, it really makes you feel glad you came.

We happened to go the day after it snowed, which made Suginohara even more fun. The snow conditions on the mountain combined with the long runs are really appealing. If you like powder, you can find ungroomed areas, while those who enjoy smooth carving will find the wide groomed runs here very comfortable.

These days, I plan a ski-season trip every year. Skiing has helped me make so many friends and create countless unforgettable memories.

Maybe what truly makes it so captivating isn’t just the speed or the technique, but the sense of freedom and joy you find out on the snow. It makes me want to return to that white winter world every year.

The red and black runs have lots of slope variation, which really tests both your technique and your courage. But once you make it all the way down, the sense of accomplishment is huge.

The long runs at Myoko Suginohara really live up to the hype. The snow conditions were great, and the courses flowed really smoothly. When the weather is good, you can see amazing mountain views all the way down. It was a fantastic experience.

Skiing in Myoko with friends gave us so many great memories. When we got tired, we ate at the restaurant, took a break, chatted, and then went back out to ski.

The whole trip felt really fulfilling, and it’s definitely worth visiting in winter.

I really liked the atmosphere at Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort. It wasn’t too crowded, so I could enjoy skiing at a relaxed pace. When the weather is nice, you can also take in beautiful views of the snowy mountains. Skiing while enjoying the scenery was so soothing.

It was a really rare and memorable experience. We took our kids to Japan to try skiing, and it was absolutely worth it.

The snow quality in Myoko is amazing. The powder is so deep that if you’re not careful, you can sink right in and have a hard time getting back up 😂

The snow-covered trees along the lift ride are beautiful too, so the lift alone is worth it.

Overall, highly recommended. I’d definitely want to come back!
