After the disappointment of not getting to try the freshly fried fries, I started buying up a ton of stuff. I was just looking through my photos and found this. Everyone, please, this is so good. I originally thought it looked pretty unremarkable, but it turned out to be super delicious. I devoured a whole box by myself...

But then again, I'm already a potato lover. This is Tokyo-exclusive, right?!

(I once saw a book at Eslite called

“Crazy for Potatoes,” and I honestly think the author and I could become sworn sisters. Not sure if she'd want to though, haha.)

Ugh, I wish I'd bought a few more boxes.

It's seriously delicious〜the kind that leaves you licking your fingers and savoring the flavor,

because there's so much seasoning powder.

With Koikeya, I've always thought the classics were seaweed salt and spicy ridged chips. I've realized I prefer ridged chips, but somehow I barely remember these lightly salted ones?

Maybe because I usually eat other flavors more. Oh, right, there's also a plum flavor.

My dad loves the plum flavor too. You can get it at Daiso in Taiwan〜

I love them so much that someone bought me two cases.

These potato chips are insanely expensive, with a reputation for being thick and super delicious, and they're only available at Hankyu in Osaka.

As someone who loves potatoes, how could I pass them up? Even if my super stingy aunt nagged me, I was still going to buy them. She looked shocked when she saw the price, but I happily bought them anyway. Sorry, I still don't understand the hardships of life⋯

But that aunt actually bought some too after seeing me buy them! Even her son was shocked, so funny.

Unfortunately, I have an unsophisticated palate. All I could tell was that they were thick. As for everything else, I was just like, um⋯ yeah⋯ sorry.

But I gave some to someone, and my friend said, “Yeah, they're thick,” and that was it. So funny.

Looks like my friends and I all have unsophisticated palates〜

They do have quite a few flavors, though, and the portions are pretty small.

I think they're worth trying for the novelty!

Mt. Inasayama, one of the world's top three night views.

Just for that reputation, even after finally making the long journey and spending the whole day on the road, I still really wanted to come at night.

It was around 8 p.m. We were clearly still downtown when I suddenly told my friend I really wanted to go to Mt. Inasayama. And then we actually went. Totally crazy. I love being a crazy person who just goes whenever I feel like it.

Even though we probably stayed up there for less than 20 minutes, I was still glad we came. Otherwise, after going home, I probably would've cried about not coming, haha.

But rather than taking the ropeway up the mountain, what I actually long for more is riding motorcycles with a group of people to see the night view together.

(Too bad I don't have any friends 😢

Look, there's a heart in the distance. For these few photos, all the hardship along the way started turning into excitement once we got on the ropeway?

In the end, we just barely caught the last ropeway down. It was so nerve-racking and thrilling because we almost got stranded on the mountain, hahaha.

There were actually a lot of taxi drivers up there, though. It seems like there must be good money in it.

But sorry, I only had enough money for the ropeway, haha, and I get carsick easily.

Night views...

I've never really understood what's so great about them.

They're just bright lights. Wouldn't looking at the stars be better?

But I still really liked this impulsive trip.

But that's okay. This trip was meant for checking places off my list and being a crazy person anyway? If I'm worried I'll regret something, I'll do it first and regret it afterward.

That's how I see it.

I have so many memories of Ginza.

First, I met two Chinese friends? I guess they were store employees, and we started chatting. It was so funny. I met them because the staff at the drugstore across the street had such a terrible attitude that I came straight to this one. The prices weren't that different anyway.

I also dyed my hair for the first time〜

It really took a lot of courage. Ever since I was little, people have always complimented me on how jet-black and shiny my hair was.

(I was really proud of it, you know?

I made this decision because I really trusted the stylist (because my friend who dyes her hair all the time said he was really good), but when I came back, my mean-mouthed friend said I looked like a middle-aged lady⋯?

It looked much better after the color faded.

I also went to try the yakiniku and dessert that the stylist recommended. He was really easy to talk to, and we chatted using GPT for two hours. So cool〜 He also happened to be planning a trip to Taiwan!

I also ate at Yayoi Ken. I had just arrived in Tokyo that day and thought I still had almost two hours to shop, but I was starving, so I got in line.

Luckily, since I was alone, I got a seat really quickly, but I couldn't understand Japanese very well, and the employee even came out looking for me. I was such a mess, and then it turned out the employee was super handsome. I wanted to cry.

And then there was the time I had a massive nosebleed and people passed me tissues.

I often hear that Japanese people are cold. I had a nosebleed in the restroom, and while I was crouching on the floor wiping up the blood, I was honestly terrified that I might pass out. After wiping it up, I hurried out of the restroom without even buttoning my jeans and just pulled them up. My sun-protection jacket was long enough to hide it anyway, and I crouched there outside the restroom with my nose bleeding. (I think I did a great job—I even wiped the floor hahaha)

I figured that if I suddenly passed out, there would be more people around to help me. Then people passed me three packs of tissues, and someone alerted an employee. The employee came running in with a huge pack of tissues, and a foreigner even asked me, “Are you ok?”

I only went there twice, and both times were short visits, but I ended up with so many memories〜
