Uncle Rikurou's freshly baked cheesecake" has been famous in the local market since 1984 for its fluffy texture and delicious taste. Since then, its reputation has spread nationwide, and it is now known as Osaka's famous confectionery.
This cheesecake is super famous in Osaka!
I thought it would be mind-blowingly good, but honestly, it was just okay.
Takahata Fudoson Kongoji Temple
Along with Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, Takahata Fudoson is one of the three largest temples housing an immovable statue of the Wisdom King in the Kanto region. It is the special head temple of the Shingonshu sect, Chizan school of Buddhism.
I wanted to see the hydrangeas, but they bloomed too early this year so I missed them...
But I did get a traffic safety charm, so it was still pretty good!
Not crowded, nice atmosphere—definitely recommend!
GRANSTA TOKYO
GRANSTA TOKYO is JR East’s largest train station mall. The huge open space with the sign “SQUARE ZERO” hosts select sweets shops, cafes, restaurants and general stores, which looks like a town itself.
You see the Gransta logo everywhere inside Tokyo Station. There are tons of shops, but honestly, it feels a bit chaotic...
Tokyo Disneyland
Known and loved as the “kingdom of dreams and magic”, this full-scale themepark is just a 15 min. train ride from Tokyo Station.
No matter how many times I go, I always discover something new! 💕
EDO WONDERLAND
Nikko Edomura is a theme park where guests can experience what it was like in the Edo period (1603-1868) in the present day. The vast grounds are made to look like an authentic townscape, with features like olden highways, inns, shopping streets, ninja villages, and samurai residences. In the dress-up area, guests can change clothes and transform themselves into Edo residents like ninjas, samurai, and feudal lords. Furthermore, there are so many hands-on experiences available to enjoy!
This place is full of fun and educational activities. It's a great spot for kids to learn about different aspects of Japanese culture. Definitely worth a visit.
The Hakone Open-air Museum
Japan’s first open-air museum, founded in 1969, aimed at harmony between nature and art. It has about 120 sculptures spread across a cast landscape of 70,000 m², including classic work by Rodin, Moore, Miro and other world masters of modern and contemporary art.
The sculptures blend perfectly with the natural scenery—it's truly a feast of art. This museum is absolutely worth a visit.
